Salon Etiquette
What if I'm not happy with my hair after a service?
If you're not happy, we're not happy.  Please call and speak with our management within a week of having the service done. Casey will find a solution. That’s her job.

Do you like it or hate it when I bring in a photo?
We like it.  A clear color photo can really help us to understand and achieve the look you're aiming for, even if it's not exact.  We can always tweek it to fit the style you're trying to achieve.

What style is in this season?
The style that fits your face shape.  If you're looking for a change, come in and let's talk about it!  And, no, we don't do over-the-phone consultations.

What if something comes up and I can't make it to my appointment or I'm running late?
We understand that life happens.  We just ask that you let us know as soon as you know so we can make the necessary adjustments.  If you cancel any appointment less than 24 hours in advance, you then forfeit any coupons or discounts you had for that appointment.

Can I bring my children?
There are a lot of things in a salon that may cause harm to children such as color, hot curling irons, etc. If you must bring a child, please make sure they can stay occupied for the entirety of the appointment.  We do not have coloring books or anything to keep them occupied. Please also be aware of and considerate of other stylists and clients in the salon.

Services & Products
I'm having an updo done and I heard its easier for you to do if hair is a little dirty.  Do to like when we come in with hair washed the day before?
Some salons prefer hair a "little dirty" to do an up-do.  At our salon, we prefer that you come in having washed and dried your hair that same day.  If it's "too clean" we can always put some product on it to dirty it up a little.

What products do you carry?
We carry Sebastian, Rusk, Brazilian Blowout, and American Crew.

How long should I wait to wash my hair after color treatment?
We suggest you wait 24 hours to let the cuticle close completely and always use products prescribed by your stylist.  There's no guarantee on your color without a professional product.

Does it matter if I use professional salon products vs. store-bought products?
We don't recommend using over-the-counter products to care for your hair after salon services. Why spend a pretty penny on your hair to just ruin it with bad products?  We've chosen our product lines for very specific reasons and have faith in their quality when they are purchased from a reputable distributor.

General Q&A
Is it safe to color your hair while you're pregnant?
We're not physicians,  just incredibly talented stylists. You should consult a physician if you have concerns about hair color during pregnancy.  This urban legend has largely been dispelled over the years, but we're not the final word on this issue — your doctor should be.

Holy $#!%, why is my hair falling out!?
Hair loss in women can result from several factors, including stress, post-childbirth, low thyroid, poor nutrition, some prescription drugs, and some birth control or hormone pills.  If you're noticing hair loss, ask yourself whether you've experienced a major change in diet, hormones or lifestyle lately.  Talk to your doctor if you can't pinpoint the culprit.

My hair seems very damaged and is breaking off when I blowdry or flat-iron it.  What should I do?
We suggest, first, getting regular haircuts even if you're trying to grow your hair out.  Without trims, your hair will break off at the ends and seem stay to same length.  If it's still damaged, come get a conditioning treatment and buy one to use at home.  You'd be amazed at the difference a deep conditioner/masque makes!!

Would a perm give me that beachy/wavy/sultry look?
No, no and no.  :)
